Rollin' rollin' rollin'...

Well here we are just about a week and a half shy of 4 months! Anders and Joline are doing so well and getting so big! I can't wait for our appointment on the 25th to find out just how big these kiddos are. My guess is that Joline is in the 12-13lb range and Anders somewhere around 15lbs. We shall see! Both babies have had a milestone this week. Anders rolled from his back to his belly on 3.7.13 and Joline on 3.11.13. :) one proud mama! Neither have done it since then but once is good enough for now. They are getting so strong and moving all the time.

We did awesome with the time change the past Sunday. I was really concerned about how to transition them so what I decided to do was start a day early and give them their last bottle an hour earlier than normal. In return the babies slept a full 12 hours! I was not expecting that at all. Actually I thought it would be very different. Since then they have continued to go to bed around 9:00pm and they sleep almost until 9:00am. I usually wake one or the other up at 8:30 to start their feeding then the other one that is still sleeping gets fed around 8:45. So this is one well rested mama and I am so thankful! Some people have asked how I got such good sleepers and honestly all I can say is that from the very beginning of both babies being home we started loosely following the Babywise program...Eat.Play.Sleep except for that last feeding of the day; then they go right to bed. Now, this does require you to be willing to hear your baby cry some; especially in the beginning. But once they learned how to self-soothe it was smooth sailing after that. It was incredibly hard to hear them cry so I had to sleep in another room during that phase but it took 3 days and they were good to go. Also, let me just say that they are NOT great nappers; an hour here and there during the day but I am not complaining about that because I would rather have them sleeping through the night.

We will be starting cereal in the next week or so. I haven't done it yet because I'm still trying to work out the logistics in my head as to how I'm going to manage feeding both babies at their highchairs plus working in breastfeedings &/or bottles and have it all happen in a fashion that doesn't occupy my entire day. :) Good luck right?!

In other news, I have been seizure free since my grand mal on Feb. 17th! Praise the Lord! I went to my regular Dr. a week after my seizure to make sure my UTI was gone because I didn't want to have it still lingering and have another seizure. But that appointment revealed some interesting news from the ER report. When they test you for a UTI you get an immediate result that could indicate a UTI but the actual infection culture doesn't come back for 24 hours. So when I was in ER that night my initial test showed an elevated level of white blood cells, usually indicating an infection, so they assumed UTI gave me meds and sent me home. The ER report then showed that after the culture came back I in fact did NOT have a UTI. They never called to tell me this because it wasn't going to hurt me any by taking the antibiotics. However, it is valuable information given the fact that we thought it was the UTI that had caused the seizure. So now we are completely unsure of what brought on the seizure in the first place and not sure why I had elevated levels of white blood cells. By the way, when I was re-tested a week later everything was normal, no high level of white blood cells. So I go to the Neurologist on March 19th and hopefully this appointment will shed some light on the subject. I'm thankful there hasn't been any more seizures. I am hoping that will be a trend.

So Easter is coming up and I have to find these kiddos some cute outfits! Yay! I can't wait to get them all dressed up. :) I will post pictures as soon as I can. Hope you all are doing well!

Blessings,
